Trip Over to Florence – Italy

Home of Artists and Designers

Florence is the beautiful, ancient Italian city that raised many of the world’s great artists. The galleries are filled with art from all centuries, and the streets are filled with shops and museums from some of the fashion’s greats. If they weren’t from Florence, many chose to move there and set up their head quarters in this fabulously inpsiring city. There must be something in the water here……

David – Florence’s Favourite Son

Our day out in Florence was inspired by David, Florence’s favourite son – Or is Michelangelo her favourite? I’m not really sure. David was created in Florence by Michelangelo between 1501 and 1504 – so I’m going to stick with David being the favourite son.

Sunrise on my last day in London, after a few very cold, cloudy days, today we are going with a freezing 2 degrees, and sunshine ❄️❄️❄️#sunriseinlondon #seetheworldthroughmyeyes #londonlife #coldmornings❄️ #solotrip
The wildly changeable weather in Sydney lately,🌧 last week I needed a snorkel and flippers to get out of my front door!!🥴#raininsydney #wildweather #Sydney #sydneyaustralia #flowersintherain #seetheworldthroughmyeyes
Just opened my curtains to see this beautiful sunrise ✨️over Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye. Beautiful colours to start the day, I was just in time to catch it, those peach colours are no longer there!#londonsunrise #bigben #westminsterabbey #londoneye #housesofparliament
Popped into Fortnum & Mason on Piccadilly yesterday evening ✨️ mainly to have a look at the new double helix staircase built up the middle of the store. Disappointed that they had no feature decorations hanging down the centre of it!!The lower floors were absolutely packed with people, if one person moved, they all had to. I took a few pics and made a run for it!!#fortnums #shoppinginlondon #doublehelixstaicase #londonlife #solotravel
Where I stayed on my recent solo adventure in Malta and Sicily✨️ click the link in the bio to read my new post about where I stayed...and why. Loved the Grand Harbour Hotel in Valletta 💖 the views were hard to tear myself away from⚓️Not sponsored, all honest reviews 🥂!!#grandharbourhotelvalletta #malta #soloadventure #solotrip #whereistayed #visitmalta #traveltheworldworldwithme #seetheworldthroughmyeyes
The Design Museum over in South Kensington, the 'Malta' paving stone was front and centre!!#londondesignmuseum #southkensington #seeeverythingdoeverything #londonlife
Went to the Gianni Versace exhibition over at The Arches, near London Bridge ✨️ Not many people there, so a lovely break from the crowds.#gianniversace #thearches #londonbridge #highfashiom #londonlife
Delicious Christmas lunch🎄 @royaloverseaslondon ✨️We started with a few glasses of bubbles, and a variety of finger foods 🥂while making new friends. Then moved on to a celeric and truffle foam amuse bouche (that I forgot to photograph!!). Follwed by smoked salmon, roast turkey and Christmas pudding.I won't need to eat for a week 💖#christmaslunch🎄 #christmastimeinlondon #perfectday❤️ #londonlife #londoneats
Had lunch in one of London's oldest pubs yesterday, on Fleet St, not far from St Paul's. Re-built in 1667 after the original Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese pub went up in flames in the great fire of London the previous year🔥I've had better fish and chips in older London pubs - The Prospect of Whitby and The Mayflower - but still very nice to sit by the fire, then explore the rabbit warren of areas in this pub, knowing people have been drinking here for nearly 400 years.#yeoldecheshirecheese #londonpublunch #historiclondon #solotravelinlondon #londonlife
The Archeological Park in Syracuse, a very interesting place, Lady to get around with well marked trails to follow so you don't miss anything. Although all the sculptures add to the ambience, I was disappointed to find none of them are more than 5 years old, not what I consider ancient archaeological discoveries!!#syracuse #sicily #arceologicalpark #historicalsicily #soloadventure #traveltheworldwithme #seetheworldthroughmyeyes #seeeverythingdoeverything #solotravel #
Just behind the markets in Ortigia, Syracuse, looking over the Mediterranean.#solotravel #solotrip #seetheworldthroughmyeyes #traveltheworldwithme #seeeverythingdoeverything #ortigia #syracuse #sicily #meditteranean

Even if Fortnum & Mason on Piccadilly is too packed with people to fit inside, the outside of the building and the window displays are worth seeing.#fortnums #piccadilly #londonatchristmastime #solotravel #traveltheworldwithme
